While it seemed as though Ciara and Rihanna were on good terms, a photo on Instagram has sparked a new divide between the two stars. Ciara addressed the controversial image during an interview with WGCI’s “Tony Sculfield and the Morning Riot.”

Rihanna’s BFF Melissa Forde took to Instagram to post a photo of her and RiRi watching Ciara’s a cappella version of her new single “Body Party.”

“#BodyParty (bathroom acapella version) #London,” tweeted Melissa.

What initially seemed like a harmless pic has turned into a debate between both singer’s fans. Ciara retweeted the link, only later realizing that it may not have been so innocent.

“I didn’t receive what they did from a positive place,” said CiCi, who thought she had resolved her issues with Rihanna.

“I’m not going at it with anybody,” she said. “There’s never been still going at it for me. I’ve always thought that everything was cool ’cause I actually remember seeing Rihanna two years ago at the Met Gala after we had the little small back and forth. And from what I recall, everything was cool.”

She continued, “In my mind, I operate from a place of love and support. If you would have asked me about it up until this point, I would have nothing but good things to say ’cause I’m sincerely happy for her.”

In addition to her upcoming album One Woman Army, due in June, Ciara will star on the March 26 episode of BET’s “The Game.” She plays an over-the-top version of herself. “The things that I do are things I could never do as a person,” she said. “It’s the unexpectedness of me as an entertainer.”
